Role: Web Designer - Agency
I was given the client brief and consultation notes to produce a finished design, and develop the website.
The Brief
Tararua Vistas is based in New Zealand, and chose our UK agency to design and develop their website. This was a brand new venture, advertising their holiday accommodation, located in the heart of a pristine nature reserve.
Problem
As a new business they had no existing branding, very few photography/video assets, and the property was still being renovated.
Insight
Although the business was selling stays in their holiday accommodation, the real selling point was the nature reserve. Incidentally I spent a number of years living in NZ and was familiar with the area.
Design Intent
- Utilise knowledge of NZ wildlife and nature to promote an experience rather than a property
- Create a visually engaging website that tells a story with limited assets
- Establish brand style guide
Outcome
A WordPress website that highlights the natural beauty surrounding their holiday rental property. Selling an experience, rather than just accommodation.
